The Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) is the governing body of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and its purpose is to supervise the application of international drug control treaties, develop strategies on international drug control, and recommend measures to address the world drug problem.  The focus of this committee will be to cover Myanmar’s position in international drug trade, measures intended to disrupt supply of and demand for drugs in Southeast Asia, and the powers of the Heads of National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies in the region.  We hope that through this committee delegates will gain a better understanding of the CND and its powers and responsibilities on the international stage as well as the effects of its presence enforcing policies in particular countries.
