Since its founding, the World Health Organization has developed innovative solutions to some of the world’s most complex health challenges, ranging from epidemics and chronic illnesses to natural disasters and international security threats. Now in its 70th year and with 194 member states, WHO continues to assure and promote public health on an international scale. Given the current international health landscape, this year’s MUNCH WHO Assembly is set to be one of the most exciting yet. This committee will function as a General Assembly Plus, and thus will be structured as a General Assembly but incorporate some crisis elements. Delegates should be prepared to discuss international health security, universal health coverage, and refugee/migrant health, while also remaining on high alert for several unexpected twists. We look forward to seeing you in February!
