Anika Rajesh | Secretary-General

Hi all! My name’s Anika, and I’m a senior from Cary, North Carolina, majoring in Data Science with a Geographic Information Science concentration. I participated in MUN conferences throughout middle and high school, and in college, I served as a Crisis Director and Director of Communications over the past two MUNCH conferences. In my free time, I love traveling, going on walks with my dog, reading mystery novels, watching comedy shows, and dabbling in just about any art or craft. I am thrilled to serve as your SG for MUNCH XXVII and am looking forward to seeing everyone in February for the best MUNCH yet!

Liam Kiley | Director-General

My name is Liam and I’m a junior from Apex, North Carolina, majoring in Statistics and Political Science. This is my sixth year being involved in MUNCH, having competed as a delegate for 3 years, chaired a committee, served on secretariat, and now serving as Director-General. Outside of Model UN, I spend my time endurance cycling, playing my bassoon, learning Arabic, and embroiling myself in the complexities of UNC Student Government. I’m excited for all the fun that will be MUNCH XXVII and can’t wait to see it all in action!

Lily Fowler | Chief of Staff

Hi everyone! My name is Lily, and I am a senior double-majoring in Global Studies and Women’s & Gender Studies! I am from Pittsboro, NC, and I have been involved in MUN for about six years now. I attended MUNCH twice as a delegate in high school, I’ve been involved in CIRA since the beginning of my freshman year at UNC, and this is my second time on Secretariat for MUNCH. During MUNCH XXVI, I was a USG of GAs, so I am super excited to be back on Secretariat for my last year at UNC! Outside of MUN, I love to watch movies, thrift/antique, and spend time with friends. I am so excited to meet all of you and make MUNCH XXVII the best one yet!

**Jackson Wellons | Director of Communications**
Hello everyone! My name is Jackson and I am a sophomore from Summerfield, North Carolina, majoring in Political Science and Advertising and Public Relations. I have been involved in Model UN since my first week of high school, and since then I have competed at a wide variety of conferences, both in high school and the collegiate circuit, in both GA and Crisis. Within our on-campus conferences at UNC I have chaired committees and served on secretariat as a USG. Outside of committee, I love spending time with my friends, going kayaking, and learning Italian! I look forward to all the incredible memories and experiences that MUNCH XXVII will bring to us all!

**Ava Altman | Under-Secretary-General of General Assemblies**
Hello everyone! My name is Ava Altman and I’m a sophomore at NCSU majoring in Political Science with a Public Policy concentration and a minor in Chinese. I have been involved with Model UN since my senior year of high school as a GA delegate (and still am a die hard GA delegate at the collegiate level). Previously, I was a crisis staffer for MUNCH XXVI, but look forward to serving as the Under-Secretary General for GA committees. When I’m not busy with school and MUN, I enjoy reading Game of Thrones, annoying my dog, and going thrifting with my friends! I look forward to seeing what everyone brings to the table in February!

Landon Malfait | Under-Secretary-General of General Assemblies

Hey everyone! My name is Landon and I am a junior as NCSU majoring in Political Science with a Public Policy concentration and International Studies with a minor in French. This is my second year doing Model UN after joining my sophomore year when I got to NC State but I now won’t stop talking about it. Last year, I was a general staffer for MUNCH XXVI. I am excited to further my role with MUNCH this year by being part of your secretariat as your Under-Secretary General for GA! Some of my favorite things are playing with my dog, spending time with my friends and playing nerdy history video games. I look forward to meeting you all this MUNCH!

Arnav Sud | Under-Secretary-General of General Assemblies Plus

Hey y’all! My name is Arnav Sud, and I’m a sophomore from Charlotte, North Carolina, majoring in Applied Math and Computer Science. I’ve attended MUNCH three times as a delegate and once as a GAP chair at last year’s conference. Outside of MUN, I enjoy watching LeBron highlights, running, and obsessively adding to my Letterboxd. I’m super excited to be your USG of GAPs this year, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s creativity throughout the weekend!

Elizabeth Kees | Under-Secretary-General of General Assemblies Plus

Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth Kees, and I am a sophomore from Charlotte, North Carolina, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). I started Model UN in high school, mostly focused on GA’s. Once I got to UNC, and became involved with CIRA, I gained a special interest in GAP’s and specialized committees. Last year, at MUNCH XXVI I served as a plus staffer for the OPEC GAP committee, and this year, at MUNCH XXVII, I will serve as the Under-Secretary General for GAP’s. Outside of Model UN, I can be found attending sports events, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends. I am so excited to see what you all do this MUNCH!

**Arya Kamath | Under-Secretary-General of Crisis**
Hi guys! My name is Arya Kamath, and I’m a junior from Cary, North Carolina, majoring in Economics and Public Policy with a Data Science minor. I’ve been involved with Model UN as a crisis delegate since starting college and have competed in a variety of public speaking and debate activities since high school, and I’ve senior staffed MUNCH XXVI, UNCMUNC XVI, and upcoming UNCMUNC XVII. Outside of MUN, you can find me reading, watching really corny movies and shows, singing, and having deep conversations about just about anything. I’m so excited for MUNCH XXVII, and I can’t wait to have so much fun seeing everything you bring to your committees as USG of Crises!

Ishaan Ahsan | Under-Secretary-General of Crisis

Hello! My name is Ishaan Ahsan, and I’m a sophomore from Charlotte, North Carolina, majoring in Chemistry and Political Science. I competed in Model UN through all four years of high school mainly competing in crisis. Since starting college, I’ve been involved in running conferences including chairing the Oscars Committee at last year's MUNCH. Outside of MUN you can find me watching movies, hanging out with my friends, and bricking three pointers. I’m excited to serve as your USG of Crises and can’t wait to see what kind of goofy situations you find yourself in.

**John Thagard | Under-Secretary-General of Crisis**
Hello! My name is John Thagard, and I’m a sophomore from Raleigh, North Carolina, majoring in Economics with minors in Spanish in the Professions and Business Administration. I’ve been involved with Model UN since 6th grade as a GA delegate, but when I came to college, I switched to being a crisis delegate. I was a backroom staffer for MUNCH XXVI on the 1920s Chicago committee and will be a senior staffer for the college football committee at UNCMUNC XVII. Outside of MUN, I play basketball, flag football, and soccer, and I love to travel. I plan to study abroad sometime during my time at UNC, and I hope to work internationally at some point during my professional career. I hope to inspire a greater love for MUN in each of you during this conference, and my greater goal is for each of you to have fun. Can’t wait to see everything you all strive to accomplish both inside and outside the committee!

**Carter Huffman | Director of Operations**
Hi everyone, my name is Carter Huffman and I’m a junior political science and history double major from Huntersville, NC. I have been involved with Model UN since Middle School and compete on the collegiate circuit for UNC. After serving as a chair last year for one of the Double-Del GAs I’m incredibly excited to join the secretariat this year as director of operations. Outside of CIRA, I love watching football and basketball and playing golf. I’m so excited to welcome everyone to Chapel Hill in February for a fantastic MUNCH.

Aakash Palathra | Director of Outreach

Hi everyone! My name is Aakash Palathra, and I'm a junior from Rockville, Maryland, majoring in Public Policy and Business Administration with a minor in PPE. I've been involved with Model UN since middle school and have had the honor of staffing both UNCMUNC and MUNCH over the past three years. When I'm not MUN maxxing, you can find me scouring for caffeine, pursuing my love for film photography and Polaroids, or ranting about Maryland/DC sports (go Ravens). I'm so excited to serve as your Director of Outreach for MUNCH XXVII, and I can't wait to create an experience that inspires you all and gives back to the community around us this February!

Shreya Hansalia | Director of Marketing

Hello! My name is Shreya, and I am a Junior at UNC studying Political Science and Economics with a minor in Women’s and Gender studies. I've been involved in Model UN since my freshman year of high school and also served as the director of Marketing for MUNCH last year! Aside from MUN, I like to run, hike and read. I am looking forward to a wonderful MUNCH XXVII!

Ella Flaim | Director of Oversight

Hi! My name is Ella Flaim, and I am a senior at UNC studying Economics with a minor in Environmental Justice. I’m from Wake Forest, North Carolina, and I became involved in Model UN in college through the travel team and previously staffed last year’s MUNCH XXVI. This year, I will also be serving as a senior staffer for UNCMUNC XVII! In my free time, you can usually find me near tears over the New York Rangers’ recent performance or ranting on the phone with my grandmother about reality television. I am so excited to serve as a Director of Oversight for MUNCH XXVII, and I can’t wait to see what you all bring to the conference!!

Rohan Pruthi | Director of Oversight

Hey guys! My name is Rohan and I’m a junior majoring in Health Policy & Management and Biology. I’m from Cary, NC, and I’ve been involved with Model UN for 6 years, serving as both a delegate and a crisis director/chair at both the high school and collegiate levels. I also served as Director of Academic Affairs at MUNCH XXVI, and will now serve as a Director of Oversight for MUNCH XXVII! In my free time, I enjoy anything and everything to do with sports, and love to travel whenever I can. I’m looking forward to the exciting things you all will bring to MUNCH XXVII, so see you soon!

Ruby Garff | Chief Financial Officer

Hey everyone, my name is Ruby Garff! I´m a junior from Wake Forest, North Carolina, majoring in journalism and public policy with a minor in philosophy, politics, and economics. I joined Carolina´s Model UN travel team in my sophomore year and served as a plus staffer for the OPEC GAP committee at MUNCH XXVI. I’m new to MUN, but it’s quickly become one of my favorite parts of college. I also love video games, writing, and superheroes (specifically Spider-Man). I’m a huge roller coaster fan. I’ve ridden over 100 across the country, and I’m always begging my friends for a Busch Gardens trip. I’m so glad that I get to help all of you have the best MUNCH XXVII ever as your CFO!
